Contribute to Folk*ish

Folk*ish is the companion blog to Far Afield Quarterly Review, dedicated to shorter works, think pieces, and writing that moves in the space between observation and reflection.

We welcome experimental art, field notes, fragments, micro-essays, graphic narrative, and hybrid forms—pieces that are attentive, inquisitive, and shaped by a strong sense of place, memory, culture, or craft. Work may be personal or critical, lyrical or analytical, but should be concise and intentional in form.

Submissions to the blog are not required to be previously unpublished. Generative AI works, plagiarized works, or works containing hate speech will not be published, and in these instances the sender will be banned.
