We at Far Afield believe in inclusion and acceptance, as well as the power of the pen and written word. The literary magazine is woman-founded, queer-friendly, and means to be a space of open expression, tolerance, and good nature.

Andie Kern
FOUNDER
Andie is an Ozark-based writer and artist whose work explores storytelling through both visual and literary forms. She has a BFA in Illustration & Design from Missouri State University and has been weaving stories since a young age; when her parents first gave her a dress up box or a sheaf of copy paper to scribble ideas onto.As the founder of the magazine, she is passionate about creating thoughtful, inclusive spaces for emerging and independent voices in art and writing.
